Honestly, that was a pretty tame description compared to what I usually go with. See you there?
[Wade's already getting ready, tossing on the nicer clothes he had. Which still weren't much, but he looks slightly less homeless at least when he reaches the bar.]
( he's left waiting there a little while before moiraine arrives, not because she isn't on her way but because it takes moiraine a little while to find the place, still gathering her bearings and not having a clue as to where many places are.
she doesn't visit bars and this is definitely her first time stepping foot into the place. it's very different from any inn she's taken a room in before, careful steps walking her around the place.
and then moiraine sees him, or what she assumes is him. pretty tame might be apt considering how scarred her is, unless she'd found the wrong person )
[He's in the middle of sipping on the beer he'd ordered while he waited. It's not going to get him drunk with his metabolism, but it seems the thing to do. He nearly spits some out when she approaches and says his name.] That's me! Moiraine, right? [He thinks he's said it right.
Wade gestures to the space across from him in the booth he's sat in.]
Sure, why not? I like to live recklessly! At least we're meeting in a public place rather than like a back alley or something. I've done that, well, a few times. [He's not terribly concerned with his own safety.]
So, that Valentine picture, huh? Pretty crazy. Pretty crazy... [He looks off somewhat wistfully.]
I mean, it had your name on the back. Is it not you?
[He pulls the picture out of his pocket all of the sudden, holding it up and trying to compare it to her. It's hard considering she still has on clothes.]
[He gives it one last look before considering and handing it over to her.] You can have it. To destroy it. Or keep. Whatever. [He doesn't actually want to keep something like that if it's making her uncomfortable. Even if it's a very very nice picture. Very nice.]
Clearly some kind of city nonsense... [Wade plays with the condensation on his beer glass.] And here I was hoping I had an actual secret admirer.
( because that's what she's taking from this. but she does at least sound a little more amused, recovering slightly from where this conversation had started )

i didn't confirm it was me.

So... was it you?

But it would be very out of character.

or agreeing to do it for someone i know nothing of.

Wanna get something to drink? So you can know something of me?
Yes/No/Maybe So?

[He'd not actually thought she'd agree.]

no subject

Wade?
( a careful approach, hopeful )

Do you often ask to meet people without knowing a thing about them?
( she had before but not over a strange device.
in a note instead )

( because even without seeing her face there's still some other physical signs it's her.
and she never outrightly denied it )

It looks it. But it's not something I've done. ( yet ) I don't know how this came to you.

there's a pause before she gives him a smile that looks more genuine )
You don't?
( he's been perfectly polite to her )
Perhaps it hasn't come yet.

Yeah, I mean I've got people just knocking down my door left and right. Guys, gals. All kinds. Gotta beat 'em off with sticks!

( because that's what she's taking from this. but she does at least sound a little more amused, recovering slightly from where this conversation had started )
Not if you wish an admirer close.

Maybe I could use my swords? [He's joking obviously.]
