( wade's given him a sense of normalcy despite his own chaos and nate is grateful for that in ways he maybe doesn't even really know or appreciate just yet, but. it's nice to have. however fleeting it might be.

I get those too. Just with less bed shaking. [Bad memories that haunt him. Of his torture and Francis mostly. But also of Vanessa sometimes too.] They're usually quieter though... when someone else is around.

[Wade's brown eyes meet blue as those fingers trace his face, shivering a bit under the gentle scrutiny. It's a level of intimacy that he's not really had here. He's slept with plenty of people, sure, but nothing even approaching this.]

I would like that... [If only he could do the same for Nate.]

( fingers lingering there at wade's temple, nate smiles a little before his expression softly changes to something a little more focused. )

[He stares back. Why Nate wanted to do all these things for him is causing no shortage of wonder for Wade. There are ways he's like Cable, but in this way, he's very much not. He's kinder, more like Colossus, maybe? Wade settles into his pillow, sneaking an arm to clutch the dip of Nate's waist, as his eyes close.

Having nice dreams for a change, not ones haunted by pain? It's almost better than sex.
