- Loving- those Wade cares for he cares for deeply and wants to protect them, even if sometimes his more negative tendencies and mental instability compete with that desire. He was willing to do anything to save Vanessa when Francis captured her and when she died due to his own negligence he was inconsolable, so much so that he tried to end his own life only to have his healing factor prevent it. He also grew to care for Russell and fought desperately to save him from Cable and from the teen's own demons. He tried to push Russell away at first, as he'd still been grieving for Vanessa and was still hoping to die. Russell gave him something new to fight for though and a new hope for a family of some kind. Wade wants connection with others deeply even in sometimes he's not one to go about it in a normal way.
Negative Traits: - Reckless- With Wade's healing factor comes a disregard for his own safety. He leaps into situations without care for how he might be hurt. The pain from the injuries is the same as anyone else might suffer even if he heals it and that constant infliction of pain does little to improve his mental state. He's been shot, stabbed, ripped in half, and yet still never stops joking through it. With this recklessness sometimes Wade also fails to account for how his actions might impact those around him. He traveled around the world killing gangsters, human traffickers, and awful people and did little to hide who he was. There was a gang leader that he'd failed to kill who was able to track him back to the apartment he shared with Vanessa and while he was able to fend off most of the attackers, one did end up shooting and killing her. When this happened, Wade knew that it was his own fault and blamed himself for her death. Ultimately though, it hasn't changed his behavior, he's still as reckless as he ever was. For instance, he formed an entire team to help stop Cable from killing Russell, but ended up getting every single one of them killed outside of Domino in the matter of moments all because while he knew that there was a wind advisory in effect he still had the team parachute in. And this was done likely only because it would look cool and not because that kind of entrance was at all necessary. This decision led the team to die horrific (albeit comedic?) deaths.
- Selfish- Wade tends not to care about things unless they impact him directly or are in the immediate present. Deaths, atrocities, world events or catastrophes don't matter, but if someone hurts someone he cares about, he is there in a moment to seek retribution. He chased Vanessa's killer down in the street and threw them both in front of a truck. But when Cable was speaking about the future fifty years from now and that Wade and his generation "fucked this planet into a coma," Wade just makes an exploding 'boom' sound and says, "Spoiler alert! Ha ha! Ah... planets." He only really cares about those things that are directly in his own purview and selfish concerns. He also has no qualms about murdering people or doing awful things to others that are not in the circle of those he cares for.
- Volatile- Wade is a mercenary and before that was in the Special Forces, he's a trained and skilled killer. He resorts to violence quickly and when he has his mind set on a goal or target, he usually pays little mind to the collateral damage in the way. He will shoot up an entire building or blow up cars and roadways all to kill one man. He is usually only killing those who are awful people, but there seems to be little concern about who else might be in the cross hairs. When he threw himself and Vanessa's killer in front of a truck, he could have also potentially killed the driver. When he blew himself up within his apartment, he could have killed or injured many others outside of himself. While his goal isn't to hurt others that may be innocent, he doesn't usually take the precautions to be sure that he doesn't. He's reactionary and careless.
Powers and Abilities:
Wade has a healing factor that means he can heal from any injury and even regrow limbs. In game, if there are any punishments or in-game plots that require that healing factor not to work or work more slowly, that would be fine by me. He also has superhuman strength to a degree and quick reflexes. He's also a skilled fighter with hand to hand, guns, and blades.
